ServiceOne Is Just Right at Business P.M.

Our ServiceOne folks dressed up as Goldilocks and the 3 ServiceOne Bears for this years annual Main Street Business P.M. and things couldn't have gone better.  More than a hundred people stopped by the ServiceOne booth to say hello and register for a great prize.  Lily McKinlay from Dubuque joined the fun to play Goldilocks for the night and help spread the word about ServiceOne.  It must have worked because Lily won best dressed woman in the nights contest.  Congrats Lily and thanks for the help.  Check out our photos to the left and tune in for the winner of the new installed programmable themostat Wednesday.

A New Chapter For ServiceOne in Dubuque

On February 15th ServiceOne will be participating in the annual Downtown Business P.M. This year's theme is fittingly a storybook-themed event. "Once upon a time in downtown Dubuque..."
Besides mixing and mingling with more than 500 chamber members and guests, ServiceOne will be introducing a very unique marketing tool that will revolutionize how it does business.  This tool will be unveiled at the storybook-themed event and will then be seen all over Dubuque and the Tri-State area. 
It will be lots of fun and the interaction and mystery is the best part.  No other heating and cooling company or almost any other type of business is currently implementing anything close to this in Dubuque.  It simply shows how once again ServiceOne in Dubuque continues to stay in the forefront for customer service, customer satisfaction and technology.
In order to see what the mystery is all about you'll have to attend this year's Downtown Business P.M. for yourself.
The Downtown Business P.M. is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hotel Julien Dubuque.

Heating Tips When It's Cold and Snowy in Dubuque

The recent heavy snowfall and drifting brings one more thing the Dubuque and surrounding areas need to keep an eye on. Home owners with High Efficiency, direct vent furnaces

and water heaters need to check to see that the venting has not been drifted over with snow or blocked.

These systems typically vent through the sill plate of the home, close to ground level through a white PVC piping like in the photo above. Drifting snow has the potential to block these vents, causing your furnace or water heater to not operate.
These systems have sensors that will detect blockage which will shut down the system. Simply go out and check to make sure these vents have adequate clearance. If they are blocked, clear the snow away

from the vents, and you should be good to go.
